The first thing that everyone should know about many of the free online dating services out there on the web, is that most of them are not free at all! Many of them suck you in with the claim that they are free and then have you go through the whole registration process, even filling out your own profile. After you fill out a profile, then the site will allow you to browse through all of the other profiles listed on the site. With any luck you will find a few people that you would not mind getting to know a little more about. Only problem is that in order to communicate with anyone or have their messages get through to you, you have to pay! And all along you thought it was a free site!

There is good news on the horizon, though. The good news is that once you do find the genuinely free sites, you will find that they offer as much variety as many of the large sites. Only drawback - they cannot boast nearly as many members. Some people compensate for this by adding their profile to many sites at the same time to try and increase the amount of people that they can make a connection with. What we have found for the most part is that there is still a lot to choose from when it comes to free online dating services.
We were recently very impressed by a few of the sites that stated at the very first page of their dating site that if you are married you need not apply and that misrepresenting oneself is against the law and something that they can be prosecuted for . Of course, there are other avenues that married people can take, such as the sites that cater to married people that are looking for a relationship on the side, but let them have their own sites because most of us are not at all interested in getting involved with someone who is not being honest with their partner! We liked the fact that most people looking for someone to have an affair with would have been scared off by a statement like this on a dating site. As you can see, even free online dating services are concerned about the quality of their members.
